Requirements for New Officials

There are a few necessary steps you must take before you can become fully certified to officiate the girls game of lacrosse:

Attend a new officials training workshop and pay a training fee. Email: sdgirlslacrossetraining@gmail.com for info on the next training
Pay annual dues (cost of a varsity game fee or if only officiating youth, one youth game fee) to the San Diego County Lacrosse Umpire Board (SDCLUB)
Maintain an active USA Lacrosse membership annually.
Pass both the USA Lacrosse Girls and/or Youth tests (depending on level officiating).
Perform required on-field training and shadowing.
Purchase your uniform. Your whistle, flag, cards and measuring tape will be provided for you after successful completion of your training. You will be responsible for purchasing your officials uniform consisting of striped shirt, black bottoms, black shoes and watch.
